Herbert Best Obituary

Herbert Bruce Best passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, in Edson at the age of 96. Born on August 6, 1929, in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, he has been a resident in Edson since 1978.

He has gone to his heavenly reward; joining his wife of 67 years (Alice) and his eldest son (Raymond). Left to mourn him are his 5 remaining children, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was an avid golfer until he was forced to quit for health reasons. He replaced this with a passion for building wooden model ships, doing jig- saw puzzles and solving word and number puzzles.

His calm and wisdom will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held in Calgary at some future date yet to be decided.
